Through an intuitive and investigative process, I primarily handcraft intimately scaled paper pulp sculptures and experimental intaglio prints. Elements of printmaking and sculpture are utilized to create objects that are imprinted by a changing matrix of found and natural materials. My artistic sensibilities are haptic, often texture and detail-oriented, while I draw inspiration from Near Eastern mythology and symbolism. Through experimenting with hybridized processes, the results have echoed the haunting nature of fossils. I seek to expand on these visual elements and the concept of "emotional fossils" by questioning how personal and collective histories affect our lives, the relationships we have with our bodies, and the natural world we are part of.
